In-Store Shoping Clerk

Job Summary

Responsible for performing general warehouse activities including pulling merchandise from a pick list, moving merchandise from the sales floor to a staging area, using a handheld scanner to verify merchandise counts and update locations, and operating equipment within the omni space. The role supports digital initiatives such as BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club.

• Process member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner by pulling merchandise from a pick list.
• Utilize a handheld RF scanner to pick and verify merchandise from the sales floor.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and communicate any inventory or equipment problems.
• Notify when items are expired or short‑dated and coordinate with the club team for replenishment.
• Work with team members to pull merchandise from the reserve area to avoid sales floor restocking.
• Ensure all orders are picked on time to meet individual productivity requirements and key performance indicators.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards per the SOP for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and collaborate with club leadership when metrics are not met.
• Securely package orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain the SFC area neat, clean, and organized.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard from the work area.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products per standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine the appropriate handling method.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures, including adherence to dress code standards.
• Meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLA), performance metrics, and goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance as an essential function of the job.

• Previous order pulling experience preferred.
• Big box or wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience preferred.

Most of the time is spent moving around continuously on hard surfaces, frequently standing, bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping. Continuously requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds, with assistance for heavier items. The work environment may involve exposure to temperature extremes while pulling refrigerated orders, occasional exposure to cleaning agents, and loud machinery. A comfortable, safe environment is required to perform tasks effectively.

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the starting pay range for this position is $16.75 per hour. Actual salaries may vary based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
