Police Officer
Job Details
Full-time Security Officer at Christiana Hospital location. Responsible for patrolling grounds, maintaining safety for staff, patients and visitors, handling investigations, responding to alarms, managing parking regulations, and collaborating with law enforcement.
Requirements- Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related field, or equivalent law enforcement training.
- Minimum one year of law enforcement or public safety experience (preferred).
- Current driver's license.
- Prior law enforcement experience preferred for meeting State Constable requirements.
- Required certifications: firearms, Taser, CPR per departmental standards.
- Must meet State of Delaware Constable requirements as per Title 10, Chapter 27, and Section 2705 of the Delaware Code.
- Cooperate with law enforcement agencies in jurisdiction.
- Patrol campus facilities and provide visible security coverage during operating hours.
- Respond to calls for service from students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Conduct incident and accident investigations; complete written reports according to department policies.
- Operate DELJIS, Report Executive Records Management System, Access Control Systems, and other technology.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.19 - $26.37
