A Day in the Life of an Alarm & Sprinkler Inspector

As a Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Inspector, you test and inspect fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with fire code requirements for commercial buildings. You are knowledgeable in State Fire Codes, maintain accurate paperwork and reports, and take pride in performing quality work that helps make commercial buildings safer.

Qualifications for an Alarm & Sprinkler Inspector
  • 2+ years of Fire Alarm & Fire Sprinkler systems experience
  • NICET II in testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems required
  • Proficient in NFPA 25, 72 & 13 electrical codes, OSHA requirements, general work safety procedures, and other applicable regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
Work Schedule

This full‑time fire protection position typically works 8.5‑hour shifts Monday through Friday, though hours may vary based on business needs.
