Position SummaryThe Sprinkler Technician Helper at Marmic Fire and Safety provides essential support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This entry‑level position assists experienced Sprinkler Technicians with on‑site tasks, learning about fire protection systems, and ensuring system compliance.
Core Responsibilities- Support the installation of fire sprinkler systems, including measuring, cutting, and assembling pipes and fittings.
- Assist in setting up and connecting components to ensure installation follows specifications and safety standards.
- Help with routine maintenance, inspections, and documentation to maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Provide support in troubleshooting and repairing sprinkler system components as directed by experienced technicians.
- Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain compliance with regulations.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training and company‑provided training programs.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and professional attitude.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic measurement equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass pre‑employment background checks and drug screenings.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment over 50 lbs and work in challenging positions such as climbing ladders and confined spaces.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on‑call as needed.
- Basic understanding of plumbing or mechanical systems.
- Basic knowledge of fire sprinkler systems or related technology.
- Experience or coursework in plumbing or mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages.
