Position Overview
Printed Solid Inc., a leader in the 3D printing industry and a Prusa Research Company. We are hiring a General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The General Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of industrial machinery and equipment in our manufacturing facility. This is a full-time position based on 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) tasks on production equipment, including lubrication, inspections, adjustments, and filter changes.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions on a variety of machinery.
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical circuits using a multimeter and replace faulty components (fuses, relays, switches, sensors).
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities, including PM tasks and repairs.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with production personnel and other members of the maintenance team.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel on repairs and projects.
  • Identify and report potential problems before they lead to equipment breakdowns.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment (as needed).
  • Track, count, and order new machine parts (As needed).
Required Skills
  • Proven Mechanical Aptitude:
    Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery (hvac, plumbing, fabrication, bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts, conveyors, etc.).
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulics

    Experience:

    Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including diagnostics and repair.
  • Basic Electrical Troubleshooting:
    Ability to safely troubleshoot basic electrical circuits; experience with multi-meters.
  • Preventative Maintenance Proficiency:
    Experience performing scheduled PM tasks and documenting activities.
  • Problem-Solving

    Skills:

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Safety Conscious:
    Demonstrated commitment to safety; experience with lockout/tagout.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork:
    Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical Stamina:
    Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various physical positions.
  • Basic Computer

    Skills:

    Familiarity with basic computer operations.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with CNC Machines, Extrusion Lines/Injection Molding Machines,
  • Packaging Equipment, etc.
  • Welding and Fabrication skills (MIG, stick).
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (basic familiarity with PLC operation).
  • Experience with motor controls and drives (VFDs).
  • Trade school certification or relevant technical training.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with a CMMS.
