Application Programmer V_Automation Tester

We are hiring an Automation Tester (Contract, 12+ months, Newark, DE) immediately.

• Work with a team of software developers focused on implementing risk calculation and a reporting framework and fit into an Agile team.
• Interface with risk managers, business analysts, and middle‑office business users to gather requirements for enhancements and new features in the system.
• Coordinate software development and testing efforts (SDLC cycle) including release and post‑release support.
• Perform risk methodology enhancements and infrastructural enhancements.
• Develop frameworks for calculating risk metrics and using the firm‑wide platform in Python.
• Utilize tools and technologies:
  Python, key/value object store, SQL querying, Sybase, Cloudera, shell scripting, and Linux.
• Interact with business users as required.

• 5+ years of IT experience developing enterprise‑level applications in the financial domain.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Object‑oriented analysis and design concepts.
• Experience with risk calculations and models used in market risk.
• Experience with implementing highly concurrent systems using distributed systems.
• Knowledge of financial products, derivatives, and their pricing.
• Experience with Automation, SOA, JavaScript, and ALM.
