Java Application Developer
Location:
Newark, Delaware (Hybrid)
This position is for an Application Programmer focused on Java application development, LLE triage and support, and release support. The role requires a candidate with strong Core Java and object-oriented programming skills to contribute to high-transaction volume services and applications. The work arrangement is a hybrid schedule, requiring a minimum of three days onsite per week.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain Java applications.
- Provide triage and support for lower-level environments (LLE).
- Support application releases and deployment processes.
- Design new components and apply design patterns effectively.
- Develop REST and SOAP web services and web applications.
- Work with distributed caching frameworks and XML processing tools.
- Ensure application performance through tuning and profiling.
- Collaborate with teams located across multiple time zones.
- Core Java and solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills.
- Proven design expertise, including Design Patterns and UML.
- J2EE experience with application servers like Websphere, Weblogic, JBoss, or Apache Tomcat.
- Experience with Spring frameworks, including Core Spring, Spring Integration, and Spring AOP.
- Proficiency in REST and SOAP web service development.
- Knowledge of JPDA/Hibernate.
- Experience with distributed caching frameworks such as eh Cache or Websphere eXtreme Scale.
- Familiarity with encryption and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Experience with XML processing and binding frameworks like JAXB, Xstream, or Stax.
- Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Background in producing high-transaction volume services or applications.
- Experience with performance tuning and application profiling.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins/Hudson.
- Experience with development tools such as JMeter, SOAPUI, JUnit, TestNG, Dyna Trace, or JProbe.
- Knowledge of Maven and repositories like Nexus.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
