Bloodmobile Driver – North Mobile Blood Drive Team, Newark, DE

Morning, Evening, and Weekend shifts required. Schedule released 2 weeks in advance. +$1.50/hr on weekends. Full benefits available.

• Drive a 26‑ft box truck or other bloodmobile vehicles (buses or vans) to and from blood drives throughout New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties, and surrounding areas of MD and PA.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for blood drives; transport them to and from mobile draw sites; load and unload transport vehicles.
• Assist with setting up, breaking down, and maintaining the blood drive, ensuring timely arrival at sites.
• Support blood collection allied activities in the donor room and at mobile sites per BBD guidelines.
• Assist with donor care activities, primarily donor registration.
• Maintain blood bank vehicles: perform inspections, minor upkeep, clean vehicles after drives, and report maintenance needs to Facilities.
• Follow DOT log and reporting requirements.
• Exemplify BBD’s Core Values and meet or exceed customer service expectations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A or B driver’s license.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC), Form MCSA‑5876.
• Minimum 2years driving 26‑ft box trucks or other large vehicles.
• Working knowledge of large vehicle operation, parts, and basic preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical and technical procedures.
• Ability to prepare basic vehicle‑maintenance reports and identify mechanical failures.
• Ability to enter donor information accurately into the computer system.
• Ability to provide high‑quality service to all customers.
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to work a variable schedule.
