Job Overview – Staff Accountant (Hybrid):
Launch your career with our client as a Staff Accountant in Gloucester County, NJ (Hybrid). In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize accounting processes. Your expertise in financial analysis and reporting will play a pivotal role in enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000/year + bonus

Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Staff Accountant:
- Financial Record Management: Accurately record financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Reconciliation & Accuracy: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Month-End and Year-End Closings: Assist in preparing and executing closing procedures, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy, collaborating with the team to implement improvements.
- Financial Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather financial data, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and deliver financial insights.
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
