Payrate $24/hr-$26/hr
Location:Newark, NJ
Fully Onsite 5 days a week
(Temp-to-Perm potential based on performance)

A stable and mission-driven organization is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands‑on experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting within a structured, team-oriented environment.

This position is fully on‑site in Newark, NJ and offers the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance.

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with month‑end close processes
• Support preparation of financial reports
  
  Maintain accuracy of the general ledger
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting procedures
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 1–3+ years of accounting experience
• Hands‑on experience with journal entries and reconciliations
• Strong understanding of debits and credits
• Solid foundation in general ledger accounting
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and dependable
• Ability to work independently in a fully on‑site environment
