Senior Accountant, External Reporting

• Assist in the preparation and reviewing quarterly and annual SEC filings
• Assist with managing the SEC filing process
• Create analysis as needed
• Liaise with the external auditors to ensure timely filings
• Own processes and prepare key control documentation to support SOX compliance
• Partner with multiple teams across the organization to ensure varying deadlines are met
• Remain current with changing accounting and regulatory standards to assess any implication to the company
• Lead training for teams inside and outside of Finance
• Participate in special projects as needed
• Participate in automation initiatives and process improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is required.
• 2 ½ to 5 years of experience in financial reporting and/or public accounting, Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Prior experience in the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.(INDUSTRY IS NOT REQUIRED)
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, IFRS is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Workiva, One Stream, SAP, or similar financial systems is a plus. (HM DOESN’T EXPECT ANY OF THIS)
