Senior Property Accountant - Class A Commercial Real Estate

Our client, a vertically integrated real estate firm that owns and operates a diverse range of properties including Class A assets across office, retail and hospitality is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their team.

• Full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties
• Manage accrual-basis books for a regional property portfolio, including journal entries, purchase coding approvals, and monthly close procedures
• Prepare and deliver quarterly budget vs. actual variance reports to management
• Perform monthly CAM and real estate tax reconciliations and handle tenant billings and audit support
• Partner with the budget process from start to finish: working with management on assumptions and inputting budgets into the system
• Collaborate with the accounting team and property managers to ensure accurate coding and ledger integrity

• 3-6 years of property accounting experience in commercial real estate
• Yardi or MRI experience required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; public accounting background a plus
• Knowledge of CAM reconciliations and tenant billing processes
• Strong communicator who can work cross-functionally with non-accounting stakeholders
