About the OpportunityA well-established and growing real estate and property management firm in Bergen County is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a high-impact role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment where your expertise in reconciliations, cash applications, and billing will be essential to maintaining strong financial operations.

Key Responsibilities- Manage high-volume cash applications and ensure timely and accurate posting of payments
- Perform detailed account reconciliations
, identifying and resolving discrepancies - Oversee tenant and customer billing
, ensuring accuracy and adherence to lease terms - Investigate and resolve payment variances, unapplied cash, and short payments
- Maintain aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Collaborate with property managers and internal teams to resolve account issues
- Support month-end close activities related to AR
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation of all transactions
- 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
, ideally within real estate or property management - Strong experience with reconciliations, cash applications, and billing
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Yardi or similar systems a plus)
