Senior Accountant II - Assets

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant II – Fixed Assets plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the company’s asset management processes. This position combines strong analytical and technical accounting expertise with process improvement and cross‑functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of attention to detail and experience managing large volumes of data in a fast‑paced environment.

The role serves as the team’s subject matter expert for Oracle Fixed Assets and will help drive operational efficiencies by automating manual processes and identifying opportunities for streamlining and optimization.

• Review fixed asset transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to support capitalization requirements and validate asset additions, disposals, and transfers.
• Prepare and present asset‑related reporting for audits and internal reviews.
• Support monthly close and analysis for fixed assets accounting, including budget vs. actual analysis for depreciation expense.
• Develop schedules and reports to investigate variances and analyze drivers.
• Review work papers and roll‑forwards, supporting schedules and documentation to support month‑end close.
• Review journal entries and accruals from functional areas for accuracy and compliance with fixed assets policy.
• Provide fixed assets accounting support and analysis to internal business partners while advising them on capitalization policy.
• Coordinate with functional areas to reduce coding errors and improve timelines of data received.
• Interface fixed assets transactions from Accounts Payable (AP) to Project Accounting (PA) and perform in‑depth analysis by reconciling AP and PA reports; independently address variances in collaboration with relevant groups.
• Respond to ad‑hoc analyses and reporting requests from internal business partners and from internal and external auditors.
• Mentor coworkers and accountants within the department.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• 5+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting.
• Advanced proficiency with Oracle Fixed Assets EBS.
• Knowledge of Oracle Financials EBS (General Ledger, Projects, Accounts Payable) preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple objectives simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes, procedures, and financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles and terminology.
• Understanding of and adherence to financial controls procedures.

Compensation Range: $80,000.00 - $.
