We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team supporting a multi‑location business. This role will be responsible for month‑end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit support, lease accounting, fixed assets, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is looking to grow into future leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly and quarterly close process
- Assist with financial statement preparation, management reporting, and variance analysis
- Analyze budget‑to‑actual results and provide insights to support business decision‑making
- Manage lease accounting activities in accordance with ASC 842
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations
- Support sales and use tax compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions
- Coordinate audit requests and prepare supporting schedules for external auditors
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and special projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fie
- 4-7 years of progressive accounting experien
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporti
- Experience with month‑end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed asset accounti
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
- Experience supporting external audi
- CPA or active pursuit of CPA certificati
- Experience with in retail, distribution, consumer products, manufacturing, or other multi-location organization
- Experience with sales and use tax complian
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, or other reporting and analytics tools
- Prior experience mentoring junior team members or serving as an informal team le
