Accounting Manager

Salary: $110,000-$130,000

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Newark, NJ)

Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

• Manage month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting

• Lead revenue recognition and accounting for grants, contributions, pledges, and deferred revenue

• Support cash forecasting, liquidity management, and financial planning efforts

• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements

• Partner with IT and external vendors to optimize Net Suite and support system integrations

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant nonprofit accounting exposure

• Strong Net Suite experience required

• Experience leading system integrations, process improvements, or finance transformation initiatives

• Prior experience overseeing or supporting AP and AR functions preferred

• Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit revenue recognition standards
