Join our immigration Practice Group as a Immigration Clerk located in our Florham Park, New Jersey office.

Position Summary:

This position will provide direct support to our paralegals and attorneys. Highly collaborative group working closely together in a fast-paced environment to prepare a high volume of business immigration applications. Candidates should also be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities Prints/scans documents; saves scanned documents into our electronic file system, File Site Follows  up with clients and foreign nationals for completed questionnaires and missing documents; requesting checks

Processes incoming and outgoing correspondences, including preparing UPS mailing envelopes

Maintains client files, including editing letters and forms

Assists with data and time entries requests

Updates information and uploading documents into an immigration case management system

Requests checks and processes invoices

Calls USCIS and DOS as requested

Assists with light junior paralegal work when needed

Other projects/tasks as assigned

Some tasks involve billable time but there is no annual billable time requirement

Qualifications

Skills & Competencies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation

High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively

Ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands

Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks

Provide outstanding client service, meet high quality standards for services and meet or exceed client expectations. Proactive in seeking innovative ways in which to help others

Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills

Education & Prior Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred

Minimum of 6 months to a year of administrative experience supporting multiple people in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Prior immigration experience and/or law firm experience is a plus Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly

Technology

Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook The expected pay range for this position is:$24.73 to $27.47 per hour Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
