The part-time Data Entry Specialist will ensure that the USJP department accurately and promptly enters data into the federally mandated database. The Data Entry Specialist will work with the staff of the National Urban League (NUL) as well as NUL’s independent contractor to identify and resolve data entry errors within the mandated database. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for entering data into the Apricot
360 database, the internal database of the Urban League of Essex County (ULEC).
- Responsible for entering information daily and/ or weekly for job seekers into the GPMS system.
- Responsible for tracking and generating reports to ensure information entered into the system matches the information on file for job seekers.
- Entering accurate and timely data into the GPMS database including but not limited to enrollment, host agency assignments, Individual Employment Plans (IEPs), dates, recertification information, follow-up information, and community service hours.
- Inputting and updating USJP data into ULEC’s internal database system, Apricot
360. - Maintaining regular and open communication with the Program Director and senior staff regarding issues/errors that are identified in both the GPMS and Apricot
360 systems. - Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required.
- Two to three years of experience working in the delivery of program services.
- Strong candidate who must be enthusiastic, dedicated, and focused on providing high-quality support.
- The candidate must be able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks as well as follow-through on the tasks assigned.
- The ideal candidate will also be a highly motivated professional with organizational and communication skills.
- The candidate should have the ability to learn new programs quickly.
- Candidate should possess decision-making skills, be proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and have great communication skills.
- Candidate should have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (some travel will be required).
- Candidate should be proficient in fundamental technology skills related to the position as well as Microsoft Office.
