Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for a Business Development Manager – Energy Efficiency Program Support Manager to work with our direct client, an energy and utility company in Newark, NJ. This is a hybrid role – onsite one day per week.
This role will be posted for onsite candidates local to Newark, NJ. We are open to every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. We do not sponsor visas or offer corp‑to‑corp.
Location and CompensationHybrid – Newark, NJ (1 day per week onsite, remote elsewhere). 12‑month contract. Pay Rate: $60–$65 per hour (W2). Mileage reimbursement.
Job SummaryOversee the performance of vendor(s), both office and field, contracted to deliver program services; ensure compliance with safety protocols; lead and participate in cross‑functional teams (RES members, Customer Care, Contracting, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, IT, etc.); enhance program delivery and resolve business/customer issues; develop and maintain processes for implementing energy efficiency projects in accordance with BPU approved programs; provide oversight for business controls, process improvement and compliance;
ensure accurate invoice processing; identify and automate process improvements; monitor key performance indicators; prepare and present status reports to senior management; assist with special projects; foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity; may be required to perform additional functions during storm restoration efforts on a different schedule.
- Oversee performance of vendors and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Lead and participate in cross‑functional teams to deliver program services, enhance delivery and resolve business issues.
- Develop and maintain program processes; provide oversight for business controls, process improvement and compliance.
- Ensure accurate invoice processing and implement process improvements/automation.
- Monitor program KPI to meet business plan and regulatory requirements; prepare and present status reports to senior management.
- B.S. degree in Management, Engineering, Business, Finance or other relevant field, or equivalent experience plus 7 years in energy efficiency programs, construction or related fields (or 11 years if no degree).
- Experience managing vendor performance and leading cross‑functional teams;
Energy Efficiency or Electric Vehicle program experience. - Management/leadership experience working with cross‑functional teams.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
- MBA or advanced degree.
