Job OverviewWe are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Head of Commercial Operations & Analytics – United States to lead commercial operations, business analytics, forecasting, and sales effectiveness across the US commercial organization.
This role will serve as the operational backbone of the US business, enabling data-driven decision-making, launch readiness, field force effectiveness, and commercial performance optimization across oncology and biosimilar products. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with deep understanding of US pharmaceutical commercialization, including sales operations, forecasting, CRM, incentive compensation, and launch analytics.
This position is a key member of the US commercial leadership team and will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, Medical Affairs, and Global Commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities Commercial Operations Leadership- Lead US commercial operations strategy and execution to support business growth and launch excellence.
- Build scalable operational infrastructure, processes, and governance to support the evolving US commercial organization.
- Oversee commercial planning cycles, operating reviews, KPI tracking, and business performance management.
- Ensure operational alignment across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Commercial Development teams.
- Lead commercial analytics and performance reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Develop actionable insights through analysis of sales performance, market trends, customer engagement, patient dynamics, and competitive intelligence.
- Establish executive dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor commercial KPIs and launch performance.
- Translate complex data into clear business recommendations for senior leadership.
- Own US commercial forecasting processes, including short-term and long-range revenue forecasting.
- Partner with Finance and Commercial leadership on demand planning, scenario modeling, and business planning assumptions.
- Support launch forecasting, market sizing, and competitive impact assessments.
- Lead sales force effectiveness initiatives, including:
- Targeting and segmentation
- Territory alignment and sizing
- Incentive compensation design and administration
- CRM optimization and field analytics
- Call planning and performance tracking
- Partner closely with Sales leadership to improve field execution and productivity.
- Support launch planning and execution across oncology and biosimilar assets.
- Coordinate cross-functional launch readiness activities, ensuring operational preparedness across systems, reporting, and field execution.
- Develop commercial excellence frameworks and best practices to institutionalize high-performance execution.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, Market Access, Finance, Medical Affairs, IT, and Compliance teams.
- Ensure commercial operations processes remain compliant with company policies and industry regulations.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Head of US Commercial Development on business performance and operational optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Analytics, Economics, or related field (essential).
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 12–15 years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience.
- Significant experience in commercial operations, sales operations, forecasting, and business analytics within the US market.
- Proven experience supporting oncology and/or specialty product commercialization and launches.
- Strong expertise in:
- Forecasting and business planning
- CRM systems and analytics platforms
- Incentive compensation and territory design
- Commercial performance analytics
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- Experience in biosimilars and/or specialty biologics commercialization.
- Experience in both large pharmaceutical and emerging biotech environments.
- Prior experience supporting launch or pre-launch commercial build-outs.
- Familiarity with IQVIA, Symphony Health, Veeva, and other commercial analytics platforms.
