OverviewThe Senior Consultant is an experienced consulting professional responsible for leading client engagements, delivering high-quality business transformation solutions, and helping clients achieve meaningful business outcomes.
This role is heavily focused on delivery excellence while providing opportunities to develop business development, client advisory, and practice leadership skills. You will work closely with Practice Leaders and Principals to shape solutions, lead project delivery, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of Turnberry's consulting practice.
Successful Senior Consultants are known for their ability to earn trust quickly, simplify complex business challenges, lead teams through ambiguity, and consistently deliver exceptional client value.
Responsibilities- Lead Client Delivery
- Lead projects, work streams, and business transformation initiatives from planning through execution
- Serve as Engagement Manager on mid-sized consulting engagements and lead work streams within larger transformation programs
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders by consistently delivering high-quality work and practical recommendations
- Facilitate executive workshops, process design sessions, and decision-making meetings
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues
- Deliver executive-ready presentations, business cases, process documentation, operating models, and strategic recommendations
- Ensure client commitments are delivered with quality, professionalism, and measurable business impact

- Senior Consultants are expected to:
- Participate in client pursuits and proposal development
- Support RFP responses and solution development
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships
- Collaborate closely with sales and practice leadership throughout the pursuit process
- Build client trust that naturally leads to additional consulting opportunities
- Enable Practice Maturity
- Beyond client delivery, Senior Consultants help strengthen our consulting practice by:
- Contributing to consulting methodologies, accelerators, and reusable assets
- Supporting the development of new service offerings
- Participating in recruiting and candidate interviews
- Mentoring consultants and sharing best practices
- Contributing to internal knowledge sharing and thought leadership
- Supporting continuous improvement across delivery teams
- Beyond client delivery, Senior Consultants help strengthen our consulting practice by:
- 8-14 years of consulting, transformation, or strategic project delivery experience
- Demonstrated consulting experience delivering business and technology transformation initiatives
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced consulting environments
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity and change
- Executive presence with the ability to build trust across all organizational levels
- Business process improvement and organizational change management experience
- Understanding of enterprise technology and its role in enabling business outcomes
- Experience supporting consulting pursuits, proposals, or business development activities
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry
- Sub-sectors of Life Sciences are inclusive of, but not limited to:
Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, and Contract Research and Manufacturing Organizations (CROs and CMOs) - Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $150,000 or the hourly equivalent.
