Job Responsibilities
- Business development (C&I):
Develop and manage a commercial and industrial pipeline across the assigned New Jersey territory - prospecting, qualifying, and closing energy-efficiency projects with C&I customers - and progress opportunities through a defined multi-stage sales process in Salesforce / eTrac. - Residential support (as needed):
Refer residential opportunities encountered in the field into the appropriate residential program pathways. - Oversee the performance of vendor(s), both office and field, that have been contracted to deliver program services; manage employee performance; ensure safety protocols and practices are followed.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams, including other CES members, Customer Care, Contracting, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, IT, etc., as required to deliver program services, enhance program delivery / customer experience, and resolve business issues.
- Develop and maintain program processes. Provide oversight for business controls, process improvement, and compliance. Identify and implement process improvements and automate where possible.
- Monitor program Key Performance Indicators to ensure program delivery meets business plan expectations and regulatory requirements; prepare and present program and project status reports to customers and management.
- Advocacy & territory engagement:
Serve as a Client advocate across the territory, building relationships with community, municipal, and trade-association partners to drive C&I program awareness, and capturing Voice of the Customer feedback and field intelligence for program teams. - Assist with special projects as necessary.
