About

The Role

Techno is assembling seeking a Construction Bridge Inspector to support construction-phase bridge projects by performing inspections to ensure work complies with contract documents, applicable codes, and governing agency standards. The ideal candidate will coordinate with project teams, contractors, and agency representatives to support safe, high-quality project delivery.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform construction inspections on bridge and related structural elements in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Document daily inspection activities, including progress, materials used, workmanship, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify, report, and track non-conforming work and assist with resolution in coordination with the Resident Engineer and project team.
  • Verify contractor compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and quality control requirements.
  • Review and confirm quantities, measurements, and construction methods for accuracy and adherence to contract documents.
  • Assist with monitoring schedules, staging, traffic control, and site conditions impacting construction activities.
  • Prepare clear, accurate inspection reports, field notes, and photographic documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and agency representatives during construction activities.
Qualifications
  • NICET Level III or IV certification highly preferred.
  • Prior experience performing construction bridge inspections on transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with bridge construction methods, materials, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working on NJTA projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of NJDOT, NJTA, and other regional agency standards and inspection procedures.

The expected salary range for this role in the New Jersey is $65 - $75 per hour. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process.
