Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage on-site construction projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure safety, efficiency, and quality in all aspects of the construction process.

Responsibilities

+ Manage the safety protocols on site to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.

+ Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

+ Implement and oversee change orders and modifications to project plans.

+ Read and interpret blueprints to guide construction projects accurately.

+ Prepare and manage two-week look ahead schedules to plan and anticipate project needs.

+ Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA's) to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

+ Ensure as-built documents are accurate and reflect completed work.

+ Lead and manage a team of up to 10 workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work atmosphere.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in concrete and masonry work.

+ Expertise in managing change orders.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in preparing two-week look ahead schedules.

+ Familiarity with conducting Job Safety Analyses (JSA's).

+ Knowledge of as-built documentation processes.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position within a growing firm that has a heavy backlog of work. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, focusing on teamwork and safety. Dress code is casual, appropriate for construction settings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
