Ridgefield, NJ (full-time, onsite).
In this role, you will support the Site Superintendent in overseeing work progress, subcontractor manpower, and ensuring correct coordination between trades. You'll assist in ensuring subcontractor and vendor work is completed safely and in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule. You will also help collect and assemble on-site testing reports, inspection reports, operation and maintenance manuals, and as-built drawings for close-out documentation to the IPS Commissioning/Validation team and the client.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans.
- Support oversight of subcontractors and vendors to help achieve Project Safety objectives.
- Participate in monitoring and inspecting subcontractor work to ensure alignment with contract documents.
- Help create and manage Project Rolling Completion and Punch Lists.
- Aid in documenting quality-compliant work through as-built drawing walk-downs.
- Record daily construction activities using the Electronic Daily Report system.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
The salary offered for this role is between $81,000 and $124,000, adjust based on experience, skill set, and education.
Qualifications & Requirements- 1+ year of experience in a Construction Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent role supporting pharmaceutical, industrial, or commercial construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related discipline, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
- Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders as necessary.
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying working conditions.
- Must be able to adhere to strict cleanroom gowning protocol.
- This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
- You may be assigned to a client site for an extended period.
- Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client’s location is possible, depending on the assignment.
- Must have access to reliable transportation.
- Must have the ability to travel and commute on a daily or routine basis.
- Work schedule may require flexibility, including availability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts, as well as weekends.
- This position is a safety-sensitive position.
- The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
- All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
