Superintendent - Newark Air Train

Overview

Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture is seeking a Superintendent for the Newark Air Train project at Newark International Airport in Newark, NJ.

• Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions including scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
• Ensure compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, efficient use of materials and equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule.
• Provide technical assistance – interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, as required.
• Assist project management in developing project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
• Support Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

• 20 years of supervisory field experience with large heavy civil infrastructure construction projects valued at $200M+.
• Minimum 10 years experience as a construction superintendent and/or craft supervision in new building and/or structure construction including piles, concrete, and structural steel.
• Knowledge, skills, and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
• Experience with City, State, and Federal Government clients preferred.
• Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, and HCSS Heavy Bid.
• OSHA certification, First Aid certificates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
