Job Title:
Concrete Project Manager
This role oversees multiple concrete construction projects from initial handoff through final closeout, focusing on foundations, slabs, structural concrete, sitework, and flatwork. The Concrete Project Manager plans, coordinates, and monitors all aspects of project delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with specifications and company standards. This position offers a clear path for long‑term growth into a senior project management role.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple concrete construction projects, including foundations, slabs, structural concrete, sitework, and flatwork.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle from estimating handoff through completion and closeout.
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate daily with superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work aligns with the project plan.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to confirm scope accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes to support timely project execution.
- Track project costs, monitor financial performance, and identify risks or cost‑saving opportunities.
- Lead and facilitate project meetings with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors, providing clear and consistent status updates.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control procedures, and company policies on all job sites.
- Prepare, process, and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders, ensuring accurate contract administration and documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues related to design, schedule, and budget.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and key project stakeholders to support repeat business and long‑term partnerships.
- 3–8 years of concrete construction experience, including hands‑on involvement with concrete pours, concrete slabs, rebar, and foundations.
- Proven project management experience within construction, specifically focused on concrete work.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change orders and related documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting for construction projects.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Commitment to safety, quality control, and adherence to company procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction or a related field.
- Experience leading project meetings with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality or schedule.
- Experience building and maintaining long‑term client and general contractor relationships.
- Motivation to grow into a senior project management role over time.
This role operates in both office and field settings, supporting active concrete construction projects. Typical hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., requiring coordination with field crews, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the day. The position involves regular visits to job sites where concrete pours, slab work, rebar installation, foundations, and other structural concrete activities are underway. The work environment emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration, with frequent project meetings and ongoing communication among project stakeholders.
