One has partnered with a growing legal services organization to identify a Communication Specialist who will serve as a key point of contact for existing claimants on a temporary basis for at least a month or two. This role is critical to delivering a supportive, responsive, and high-quality claimant experience throughout various phases of the claims process and is required to work on-site in Newark, NJ from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.
The Communication Specialist is responsible for managing claimant communications across phone, web, email, and live chat
, ensuring every interaction is handled with professionalism, empathy, and urgency. This position plays an essential role in guiding claimants, verifying claim information, and transitioning matters smoothly to the Case Management team, including paralegals and attorneys. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Client Engagement: Provide best-in-class service and ensure claimants feel heard, supported, and informed
- Data & Information Accuracy: Confirm and verify detailed claim information while gathering additional necessary details
- Service Excellence: Handle every interaction with urgency, attention to detail, and professionalism
- Process Guidance: Clearly explain next steps and transition claimants to Case Management and legal teams
- Law firm or legal industry experience (a plus)
- Insurance, healthcare, or medical administration experience (a plus)
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce), VoIP, and electronic signature platforms
- Contact center / call center background (a plus)
- College degree preferred (not required)
- Proven customer service experience
, ideally supporting existing clients - Professional and polished telephone etiquette
- Strong active listening and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable multitasking in a high-volume environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff
- Adaptable and thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- High emotional intelligence (empathy, self-awareness, professionalism)
Pay rate: $23/hour
