Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant II within the Department of Periodontics at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Dental Assistant II will provide essential clinical support to the Department of Periodontics. This role involves direct patient care, assisting postgraduates during clinical procedures, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients with diverse needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Dental Assistant in the Department of Periodontics
  • Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
  • Prepare and organize tools needed for procedures.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and operatory areas.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Monitor and maintain dental supplies and equipment.
  • Follow all infection control and safety protocols.
  • Provide compassionate care and assistance to pediatric and special care patients.
