St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join an established hospital-employed surgical program.

This opportunity offers a flexible, paid call schedule and a practice focused primarily on bread-and-butter general surgery in a supportive clinical environment.

  • Cholecystectomy
  • Hernia repair
  • Bowel procedures
  • Abscesses and emergent general surgery
• OR Access:
  Dedicated block time
• Support:
  Strong anesthesia, hospitalist, ICU, and specialty backup

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $300,000 to $325,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
