Job Summary

Essex County College is seeking a dedicated Engineering Instructor to join our faculty in providing instruction and student advisement for our day, evening and weekend courses. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching foundational and advanced mechanical engineering courses. This position offers a competitive starting salary of $52,149 - $80,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

Duties include curriculum development, student mentorship, and hands-on lab instruction.

Physical Requirements

1. Essential Job Functions

* Teaching courses in mechanical engineering.

* Conducting lab sessions and supervising students.

* Developing curriculum and assessments.

* Engaging in student advising and mentorship.

* Participating in faculty meetings and professional development.

2. Physical & Cognitive Requirements

* Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while teaching.

* Ability to operate lab equipment and demonstrate experiments.

* Strong communication skills to deliver lectures and interact with students.

* Ability to use technology and learning management systems.

Additional Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Experience (number of years), Knowledge and/or Abilities

A master's degree in mechanicalor a related field is required, along with industry experience and/or prior teaching experience.

Education Requirements Master's Degree Licenses and Certifications (including e.g., CPR, first aid, driver's license, etc.)
