The Institute for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (i3), Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and the Center for Immunity and Inflammation (CII) invites applications for a full‑time appointment at the Assistant Professor level. We are currently recruiting candidates with expertise in infectious disease and inflammation. The position will be supported by a competitive start‑up package with exceptional candidates considered for further support as Chancellor Scholars.

Salary DetailsAcademic Base minimum of $140,000 and eligible for faculty practice bonus program.
Final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including candidate qualifications, experience and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds. Market benchmarks and internal equity are also considered.

Minimum
Education and Experience:
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include developing a strong independent research program. The incumbent will participate in conferences, symposia, and other research activities, as well as graduate education. A substantial extramural funded research program will be maintained at NJMS.
- Develop a strong independent, externally funded research program at NJMS.
- Collaborate with colleagues on multi‑PI grants.
- Participate in conferences, symposia, and other activities supporting research and scholarship.
- Participate in graduate education.
- Prepare and publish scientific manuscripts in high‑impact journals.
- Keep abreast of all pertinent federal, state, and Rutgers regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Understand and adhere to Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
