The Newark Public Schools seeks a Strategic Analyst to support the work of the district by driving curriculum specific initiatives and programs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in specific curriculum areas and operations to make a lasting impact on Newark's students and families. This position may also include other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include implementing strategic initiatives that align with the district's vision for specific curriculum and instruction, spending a minimum of 75% of work time in the field providing technical assistance and support, designing and delivering professional development opportunities, supporting the implementation of curriculum and professional development, assisting in assessing the educational, financial, and operational needs of schools and identifying ways assigned Office and/or Department can help meet those needs, facilitating the acquisition of resources related to the work of the assigned Office and/or Department, and ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.

The Strategic Analyst will also collaborate with other district departments to develop and implement instructional programs, support strategic partnerships with community and philanthropic partners to enhance programming, and develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to improve available resource options for the district.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passionate belief that all students can achieve at high levels, deep knowledge of effective policies, strategies, and resources that promote student achievement, personal accountability for serving all students and ensuring their success, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong goal orientation and a focus on results, outstanding critical thinking skills, and excellent project management and execution skills.

Minimum qualifications include a New Jersey Permanent Teacher Certificate, three to five years of relevant experience, and a Master's Degree in Education or a related field preferred. Locations include the Office of Special Education, Division of Research Evaluation & Testing, Community Engagement, Title I Admin Office, and Office of Educator Effectiveness. Reports to Director, Executive Director, or Assistant Superintendent. Salary ranges from $74,063 to $129,952 for the  school year.
