Qualifications
  • NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification OR NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities AND NJ Elementary School Teacher K-5 Certification
  • Knowledge and experience with NJ Core Curriculum
  • Demonstrates the ability to implement NJ Model Curriculum
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong classroom management skills and experience with positive behavior interventions
  • Multi-grade position

  • Salary: $60,653 - $115,891 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications

Alternate Route Candidates

All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility") must show completion of 50 hours of pre‑service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the Appli Track portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
