SEND Support Assistant - Bath

Job Overview

Five Education is recruiting teaching assistants to support students with a range of additional needs, including ASC, Down syndrome, ADHD and SEMH challenges. Positions are available across mainstream and specialist schools around Bath and north‑east Somerset, with opportunities to work from early years through to secondary levels.

  Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 15:30 (term time only)

• Support students both 1:1 and in small groups, making the curriculum accessible and engaging.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of students at all times, including during break and lunch.
• Help students develop social, emotional and academic skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCo and other staff to address individual learning needs.

• Must be available to work 5 days a week on term time.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship or skilled worker visas are not accepted.
• Minimum two recent references covering the last two years.
• Up‑to‑date DBS/police check, or willingness to obtain one. Non‑Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required; if not, we will assist with processing at a cost of £62.70, which will be refunded after 20 days of work.
