SUMMARY: Pillar Elementary School, located in Livingston, NJ, is an approved private school for students with disabilities serving preschool through middle school. Pillar Elementary School is seeking a full-time Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities to work in a supportive environment with a focus on teamwork.

REPORTS TO:Principal

LOCATION: Livingston, NJ

HOURS: Monday
- Friday8:15 am-3:15 pm; 12 months with approximately 8 weeks paid recess plus personal time

SALARY:Commensurate with Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement a high-quality curriculum while differentiating instruction to meet the needs of each child's IEP
• Use a broad range of assistive technology to address the diverse instructional needs of students
• Work collaboratively with professional staff using a team-based approach
• Provide supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides and one-to-one nurses
• Collaborate closely with families to support the students

QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS Degree: NJ Certification as Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped. Previous experience with students with disabilities preferred.
