Adjunct Professor - OTD

Job Summary

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking adjunct professors to teach graduate-level courses within the Occupational Therapy Doctorate program. The selected candidate will teach courses covering occupational therapy concepts, advocacy, healthcare management, pediatric rehabilitation, and/or adult rehabilitation. Responsibilities include assessing student performance, providing feedback on course assignments, and meeting in-person classes during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters.

The commitment is three hours of teaching per week with availability for office hours.

• A doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a related major awarded by an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body.
• At least two years of clinical experience in occupational therapy. Experience in physical rehabilitation, hand therapy, neurorehabilitation, geriatrics, and/or homecare is preferred.
• Initial certification by NBCOT and eligibility for OT licensure in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to adapt teaching to various learning styles and levels of learners.
• Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.
• Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check; hiring candidates will sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
