Berkeley College is seeking a highly qualified, motivated professional who can connect with our diverse student population of undergraduate health services management majors. This role calls for an industry expert who is knowledgeable about best practices in health services management, employs student-centered teaching strategies, and leverages instructional technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
Salary range: $3,100.00- $3,600.00 per course/semester
Requirements/QualificationsMinimum of a Master's degree, preferably in business administration (MBA), healthcare administration (MHA), or public health (MPH).
Ph.D. preferred.
3+ years of professional health services management experience
Experience working with technology, including:
- Learning management systems (e.g. Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Google Classroom, etc.). Canvas experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Video conferencing
Integrate teaching methods and strategies into course design and delivery to engage diverse learners
Teach on-site, online, and hybrid courses which includes:
- Planning and organizing educational activities
- Developing instructional resources tailored to diverse student needs
- Applying instructional strategies that promote active learning and student engagement
- Grading assignments promptly and providing frequent, personalized feedback
- Monitoring and evaluating students’ academic progress
- Assisting with program, course, and student assessment at the course level, in alignment with requirements for the Larry L. Luing School of Business’ International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) accreditation.
- A deep understanding of current issues, trends, and best practices in health services management, with the ability to integrate this knowledge into engaging and relevant instruction
- Knowledge of current trends, methodologies, learning theories, and best practices, in higher education
- Proficiency in using instructional technology, including but not limited to the use of Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas), Microsoft 365, and video conferencing
- Skilled at fostering successful communication and collaboration with peers and colleagues across diverse backgrounds and viewpoints.
