Multi-Media Computer Literacy Teacher

Franklin Middle School @ the Sampson G. Smith Campus

Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum. Key instructional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program that guides and encourages students to develop proficiency and fulfill their academic potential.
• To integrate technology to develop students' media and digital literacies.
• To differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learner styles and abilities.
• To collaborate meaningfully with colleagues for the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.

One or more Appropriate NJ Certification(s)

Required:

• Teacher of Mathematics – Middle School or K-12
• Teacher of Science – Middle School or K-12
• Teacher of Social Studies – Middle School or K-12
• Teacher of Business
• Teacher of Technology
• Elementary Teacher K-8

• Strong Computer Skills / Computer Literacy Proficiency
• Experience with Applications such as GAFE, Garage Band & iMovie (Preferred)
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

10-Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable and collective negotiations agreement.

In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position in the 26/27 School Year is Step 1 BA/BS ($68,023) – Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

Performance is reviewed annually in accordance with NJ State law and the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluations for certificated staff.

Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Google Suite, IEP software program, Genesis Employee Portal, and Student Information System.
