Set Construction/ Builder
Fall Drama & Spring Musical – 2026 / 2027 School Year
The Fall Drama and Spring Musical Set Builder is responsible for constructing, installing, maintaining, and striking scenic elements for high‑school theatrical productions. Working collaboratively with directors and production staff, the Set Builder will help bring each production to life by creating safe, functional, and visually engaging scenery. Experience with carpentry, scenic construction, and theatrical production is preferred. Evening and occasional weekend hours will be required during production periods.
Qualifications- Appropriate New Jersey certification required:
Substitute Certification or other acceptable certificate alternatives as determined by the Board. - Ability to maintain a positive working environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act.
- Successful Criminal History Clearance.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.
In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, this role is budgeted for a stipend of $3,209.85 for the 26/27 school year.
This is a temporary, seasonal assignment with a fixed stipend for the contracted period. Year‑round employment, benefits, or guaranteed continued assignment beyond the designated contracted period are not included.
