The Franklin Township School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, inspire students, and promote academic excellence. This role requires a commitment to developing engaging lesson plans and adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of all students.

• Develop and implement lesson plans for Math and Science that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student development and address any academic or behavioral concerns.
• Coordinate with other elementary professional staff members, especially within grade level, to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participate in faculty meetings and committees.
• Select and requisition appropriate books, instructional aids and other supplies and equipment and maintain inventory records.
• Supervise students in activities that take place out of the classroom during the school day, including activities involving school transportation.
• Administer standardized tests in accordance with District testing programs.
• Stay current with educational best practices and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

• New Jersey Department of Education certification for Elementary School Teacher K-6
• Previous teaching experience in a classroom setting is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
• Proficiency in using technology as an educational tool is advantageous.
• Required criminal history background check
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment

• Salary as per the QEA - Range $ 62,909 - $74,376 (based on degree level).
