Position Summary
Part‑time Instructor, Economics, Fall 2026, at Rutgers University‑Newark, School of Arts and Sciences‑Newark (RU‑N). The role includes teaching Introduction to Macroeconomics, Introduction to Microeconomics, and Statistics courses, covering full teaching duties: preparing course material, creating syllabus, teaching, holding office hours, responding to student emails, grading, and submitting final grades. Course appointments may include day, evening, weekend, off‑campus, online, hybrid or any combination.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare course materials, create and post syllabus, present material during assigned classes, hold office hours, provide out‑of‑class support, respond to student emails, conduct and grade assessments, and submit final grades in a timely manner.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in economics or a closely related area required. Ph.D. strongly preferred.
- Experience and interest in teaching introductory macroeconomics and microeconomics strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level highly desired.
A minimum of $2,777 per credit. Salary may vary based on qualifications, experience, and availability of department or grant funds.
