The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, School of Arts and Sciences – Newark, Rutgers University – Newark (RU‑N), is seeking part‑time instructors (Lecturer/Coadjutant) for the Fall 2026 semester to teach mathematics. The successful candidate will cover the full range of duties associated with teaching, including preparing course material, creating and posting a course syllabus, presenting material during assigned course times, holding office hours and providing appropriate out‑of‑class time for students, responding to student e‑mails, conducting and grading assessments through assignments, exams, and other means in a timely manner, and submitting final grades.
Course appointments may require instruction during the day, evenings, weekends, off‑campus, online, hybrid, remotely, or any combination of these, based on the academic needs of the department.
Minimum
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience teaching mathematics or a closely related field preferred.
