Radiologic Science Technology - Part Time Faculty Pool
Central Ohio Technical College invites qualified educators to join our part-time faculty pool in Radiologic Science Technology. The role involves teaching courses in radiologic technology, including CT, MRI, interventional radiology, and mammography to undergraduate students at the College.
Responsibilities- Conduct and teach courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College; prepare and deliver lectures; compile, administer, and grade examinations; and provide academic assistance to students as needed.
- Provide in-class instruction to radiologic technology students.
- Teach radiologic technology students in assigned courses.
- A master’s degree in the subject matter to be taught or in a related area from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. In some cases, the College will consider, as appropriate, undergraduate degrees coupled with related work experience, professional licensure and certifications, or other demonstrated competencies and achievements that are relevant.
- Technical credentials for specific courses: CT requires R.T.®(CT); MRI requires R.T.®(MR); interventional radiology requires R.T.® plus one of the following: (CI) cardiac interventional radiography, (CV) cardiovascular interventional radiography, or (VI) vascular interventional radiography; mammography requires mammography R.T.® (M).
- Recent clinical experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in the language in which assigned courses will be taught.
- Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.
- Belief in and concern for community service.
- High ethical and moral character.
- Willingness to teach in a variety of instructional delivery modes including the use of instructional technologies and online learning management systems.
- Commitment to diversity.
- Commitment to meeting students’ learning needs and empowering students in their learning endeavors.
- Personal and educational philosophy compatible with the goals, objectives, and mission of Central Ohio Technical College.
- Successful completion of a background check.
Experience in clinically orienting/educating new technologists in their discipline.
