Full Time Faculty – Spanish Language and Culture
Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) Newark, a partnership between Bard College and Newark Public Schools (NPS), invites applications for a full‑time faculty position in World Languages (Spanish), commencing the Fall Semester, August 2026.
Teaching responsibilities include Spanish language courses at all levels:
Spanish I (9th‑grade), intermediate Spanish, and college‑level Spanish courses. The candidate may also teach Spanish and Latin American literature or culture courses in English when required. The position requires instruction at both high‑school and college levels, and the faculty member will participate fully in school life through student advising, club advising, and committee service.
Salary range: $70,000 – $114,750.

Qualifications- Ph.D. preferred
- Master’s degree required
- College teaching experience required
- High‑school teaching experience and/or experience working with youth desirable
- United States work authorization required; visa sponsorship not available
