THE ROLE

LEAD Charter School seeks an exceptional Social Worker & Case Manager to join our mission-driven community. Our goal is to transform equity through opportunities for young people in Newark, New Jersey. The Social Worker-Case Manager supports the implementation of the OYN school model in Special Education and across the school, raising student achievement in preparation for success in postsecondary education, career and community leadership.

The Social Worker-Case Manager serves as a member of the Child Study Team (CST), assesses the needs of students and supports the school’s instructional program by assisting students in their personal, social and educational growth.

The mission of LEAD is to enable students ages 16-21 in grades 9-12 to master essential skills for success in careers, postsecondary education, and community leadership within a global society. We implement the Newark Opportunity Youth Network (NOYN) school model, supporting the unique academic and non‑academic needs of students who have disengaged from traditional schooling. • Holds valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate and School Social Worker Endorsement.
