The Institute for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (i3), Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and the Center for Immunity and Inflammation (CII) invites applications for a full-time appointment at the Assistant Professor level. We are currently recruiting candidates with expertise in infectious disease and inflammation. The position will be supported by a competitive start up package with exceptional candidates being considered for further support as Chancellor Scholars.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience - JOB REQUIREMENTS:
PhD required. Knowledge, skills and abilities include but are not limited to developing a strong independent research program. In addition, it is expected that the incumbent will participate in conferences, symposia, and other activities supporting research as well as participate in graduate education. It is expected that a substantial extramurally funded research program will be maintained at New Jersey Medical School.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. (List Essential Duty Responsibility Statements.)1. Develop a strong independent, externally funded research program at NJMS.
2. Collaborate with colleagues on multi-PI grants.
3. Participate in conferences, symposia, and other activities supporting research and scholarship.
4. Participate in graduate education.
5. Prepare and publish scientific manuscripts in high-impact journals.
6. Keep abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
7. Understand and adhere to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
