Posting Summary
- The Academic Foundations Center, Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), is seeking teachers for Summer 2026 to teach Academic Success. The successful candidate will cover the full range of duties associated with teaching, including, but not limited to, preparing course material; creating and posting a course syllabus; presenting material during the assigned course times; holding office hours and providing appropriate out-of-class time for students;

responding to student e-mails; conducting and grading assessments of students through assignments, exams, and other means, in a timely manner; and submitting final grades. Course appointments may require instruction during the day, in the evenings, on weekends, off-campus, online, hybrid, remotely, or any combination of these, based on the academic needs of the department.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
- Master's degree with two to three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of course content required.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must. Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level is highly desired.
