Leave Replacement English Special Education Teacher

Franklin High School

Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum.

• Appropriate New Jersey Certification required:
  Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) certification and be highly qualified in Middle school English OR Hold a Teacher of English and a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) Endorsement
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

10‑Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable collective negotiations agreement.

In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position in the 26/27 SY is Step 1 BA/BS ($68,023) – Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

Performance is reviewed annually in accordance with NJ State law and the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluations for certificated staff.

Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Google Suite, IEP software program and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
