Full-time Faculty - English/World Literature
Position located at Bard High School Early College Newark, 321 Bergen Street, Newark, NJ 07103.
Full-time, on‑going; benefits eligible.
Position DescriptionFull‑time faculty in English/World Literature at BHSEC Newark, starting late August 2026. Candidates will teach World Literature at both the high‑school and college levels, deliver interdisciplinary humanities courses, lead interactive, seminar‑style classes, advise students, and participate in school committees and clubs.
Qualifications- Educator passionate about the field and committed to equity in rigorous curricula.
- Expertise in the formal teaching of research and writing.
- Ability to teach courses at both high‑school and college levels.
- Experience advising students, club or committee service desired.
- Strong commitment to equity, social justice, and inclusion.
- Ph.D. or high‑school teaching experience, and/or experience working with youth desired.
Salary range: $70,000 to $114,750. Union affiliation:
Newark Teacher’s Union (NTU).
